Massage Therapy
I provide four variants of massage therapy, Deep Tissue Massage (also known as 'Swedish' massage), sports massage, Indian head Massage and pregnancy/prenatal massage. However, I can adapt or combine any of them to suit your needs.

Together with an appropriate nutrition and exercise regime, massage therapy plays a major part in physical as well as mental and emotional health.
It plays an important part in an effective health and wellbeing program.
Massage sessions are most effective when taken regularly for a period of time, every week or fortnight, for example. This allows the effects to build up over the course of treatments.

Massage sessions can be taken either at my private studio, or at home.

Indian Head Massage
Indian Head Massage is a holistic therapy in that has many physiological and psychological benefits. The traditional art of Indian Head Massage is based on the ancient system of healing known as 'Ayurveda', which has been practiced in India for thousands of years.

The Ayurvedic approach to health is based on the balance of mind, body and spirit and the promotion of long, healthy life. It recommends the use of massage, together with a natural diet, meditation and exercise.
Indian Head Massage includes the face, scalp, neck, shoulders and upper back.
It is perfect for the treatment and relief of tension and stress that has accumulated in the tissues, joints and muscles.

It is especially effective for relieving general stress, tension, fatigue, insomnia, headaches and migraines. Clients tell me that the experience is deeply calming and relaxing, leaving them feeling energised and revitalised and better able to concentrate.

Lymphatic Massage

Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) massage is a type of massage that involves gentle, rhythmic massage strokes designed to stimulate the lymphatic system and promote the flow of lymph fluid throughout the body.

MLD massage is widely used as a complimentary therapy for a variety of conditions including;

# Lymphedema: A condition in which excess lymph fluid accumulates in the tissues, usually in the arms and legs. MLD massage can be an effective treatment for reducing swelling and improving lymphatic function.

# Post surgical swelling: MLD massage can reduce swelling and help promote healing after surgery, particularly for procedures that involve lymph node removal, or other disruptions to the lymphatic system.

# Sports injuries: MLD massage can help to reduce inflammation and promote healing in athletes and other active individuals who have suffered sprains, strains or other soft tissue damage.

MLD massage will also;

# Boost the immune system
